Installers, Not a Showroom

Rapid City has good flooring stores. What it's short on is installation-first contractors — crews who will install the material you chose, wherever you bought it, on a subfloor that's actually been prepped. That's us. No showroom overhead in your price, no steering you to whatever's overstocked, and no "the installer is a subcontractor, call them" when there's a question later.

Luxury Vinyl Plank & Laminate

The workhorses of Black Hills homes — waterproof, dog-proof, and snow-boot-proof when installed over a flat, dry subfloor with correct expansion gaps. We install click-lock and glue-down systems.

Hardwood & Tile

Solid and engineered hardwood, acclimated properly for our dry winters; porcelain and ceramic tile for kitchens, baths, and entries — on flat, crack-isolated substrates, because tile only ever cracks from below.

Subfloor Repair & Leveling

Squeaks, dips, moisture, and old-house surprises fixed before the new floor hides them. If your project includes a remodel or addition or freshpaint, we sequence the trades so nothing gets damaged twice. Garage or shop floors? That's a coating, and we do those too.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you sell flooring, or just install it?+

We are installers first. Buy your material anywhere — a local showroom, a big-box store, online — and we will tell you honestly whether it is the right product for the room, then install it with proper subfloor prep. No showroom markup, no pressure toward one brand.

What flooring works best for Black Hills homes?+

For most families: luxury vinyl plank (LVP) in main living areas — it shrugs off snow-melt puddles, grit, and dogs — with tile in wet rooms. Hardwood is beautiful but moves with our dry winters and humid summers; it needs acclimation and the right rooms. We will give you a straight recommendation for your actual house.

How important is subfloor prep, really?+

It is most of the job. Squeaks, bounce, cracked tile, and gapping planks are almost always subfloor problems, not product problems. We level, repair, and moisture-check before the first plank goes down — and we put it in the written scope.

Can you install flooring as part of a bigger project?+

That is our sweet spot. Flooring after a remodel, an addition, or a repaint sequences perfectly when one contractor runs the schedule — the painter and the installer stop tripping over each other.

How long does an install take?+

Most single-room installs run 1–2 days; whole-main-floor projects typically run under a week, depending on prep. You will get a real schedule with your estimate.
